HOMEMAKING SERVICE
Homemaking services provide light housekeeping support to help individuals maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
A trained homemaker assists with essential daily tasks such as:
- Housekeeping and organization
- Meal planning and preparation
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Routine household activities
These services are designed to support independence and improve overall quality of life at home.
PERSONAL CARE SERVICE
Personal Care services assist individuals with daily living activities to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Support may include:
- Bathing and dressing
- Mobility and ambulation assistance
- Personal hygiene
- Supervision and safety monitoring
Additional support may include light housekeeping tasks such as bed making, dusting, and vacuuming, when necessary for the individual’s health and well-being.
RESPITE SERVICE
Respite services provide temporary relief for primary caregivers, allowing them time to rest, attend to personal needs, or manage other responsibilities.
Care may include supervision, companionship, and personal care for a specified period of time. Services can be provided:
- In the individual’s home
- At our adult day care facility
Respite care ensures that both caregivers and their loved ones receive the support they need.
Who is Eligible?
Programs
All residents of St. Lucie County, Florida, age 60 and older, are eligible to use the services provided by the Council on Aging. A wide range of programs and activities is designed to appeal to seniors -- both the frail and the healthy -- who seek companionship, assistance, stimulation, and enrichment.
