Lacinda Mouton Appointed Interim CEO of Council on Aging of St. Lucie

The Council on Aging of St. Lucie, Inc. announced today that Lacinda Mouton has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, following the retirement of Darrell Drummond, who has served the organization with distinction for over 30 years.

Ms. Mouton brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and senior services. She has been a dedicated part of the Council on Aging of St. Lucie for over 15 years and is well-positioned to lead the organization during this transition while maintaining continuity in programs and services that support older adults throughout St. Lucie County.

“Lacinda’s knowledge of our mission and her commitment to the seniors we serve make her an excellent choice for Interim CEO,” said Andre Hawkins, Chair of the Board of Directors. “We are grateful for Darrell Drummond’s years of leadership and service, and we are confident Lacinda will continue to move the organization forward.”

Mr. Drummond’s retirement marks the conclusion of a meaningful tenure marked by growth, strong community partnerships, and a steadfast commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors. Under his leadership, the Council on Aging expanded critical programs and strengthened its role as a trusted resource for older adults and caregivers.
